Getting Here

  • By Road View
    • From M25: Exit at J2 for A2 southbound signposted Canterbury. After approximately six miles, at junction where A2 and M2 split, take far left lane and follow signs for Gillingham and Grain, A289. "Universities at Medway" is signposted with instructions to follow the brown anchor signs for Chatham Maritime. After Medway Tunnel take first exit. At the roundabout take the third exit sign-posted "Universities". At the next roundabout turn left into Pembroke Road and then immediately right into the campus for Central Avenue.
      From the M20: Exit at J6 taking the A229 towards Chatham/Rochester. Join the M2 and head north. Exit at J1 for the A289 for Gillingham as above.
      From M2 South: Exit at J4 for the A278 towards Gillingham. Take A2 towards Chatham then A289 for Gillingham. "Universities at Medway" should be signposted or follow brown anchor signs for Chatham Maritime and then signs for "Universities".
    • The campus estate is shared with University of Kent and Canterbury Christ Church University. Each institution has its own parking areas. The main parking area for University of Greenwich is located on the upper site. After exiting the Dock Road roundabout into North Road bear right into Central Avenue. The University also have parking further along North Road and off to the right at the Jellicoe building.

  • By Bus View
    • There is a bus stop within 150 metres of the campus.
    • The nearest bus stop is Central Avenue stop on Central Avenue. This stop is serviced by the 1 and 116 buses. There is a service from Chatham bus station to the campus every 10 minutes most of the day stopping on the campus (Service 1), or just outside in Dock Road (Service 2). The journey normally takes between 5 and 10 minutes depending on traffic.
