Getting Inside
- The approach to the building varies depending on the direction of travel.
- There is step-free level access on the approach to the building from the Mary Seacole Building and the Fry Building.
There is step-free access via a very easy slope on the approach to the building from the Library Health Sciences Building, Wren Building, Bronte Building, Grey Building and Southwood House.
There is step-free access via slight ramps on the approach from the Dome Building. - The David Fussey Building has one entrance, which provides step-free level access to the entrance foyer on floor 0 of the building. There is a single set of double automatic doors at the entrance.
- The entrance is signed as 'David Fussey Building'.
Getting Around
- There is step-free level access throughout the building on all floors, and to all floors.
- Floor surfaces along circulation routes throughout the building are comprised of shiny tiled and vinyl flooring, as well as low pile carpet.
- There are resting areas in some circulation and lobby areas throughout the building, with a mixture of seating.
- Overhead and wall-mounted wayfinding signage is provided throughout the building on all floors, and each room is clearly signed with a number and/or written text displayed on or near the door.
- There are manual doors along circulation routes throughout the building, and push-pad activated automatic doors to access the lift lobby on all floors.

- There are 2 toilets with adaptations.
- Toilets with adaptations are located on floors 1 and 2, to the right, right again and straight ahead out of the lift lobby/stairwell as you exit the lift.
- All toilets with adaptations have a right hand transfer space.
- The male step-free standard toilet facilities are located on floor 1, to the right, right again and straight ahead out of the lift lobby/stairwell as you exit the lift.
- The female step-free standard toilet facilities are located on floor 2, to the right, right again and straight ahead out of the lift lobby/stairwell as you exit the lift.

- The changing facilities which have adaptations are located on floor 0, to the left through the door and left again as you enter the building.
- Standard changing facilities are located on floor 0, to the left through the door and straight ahead along the corridor as you enter the building.

Parking (South Campus Car Park)

Car Park
View
- The car park is located to the rear of the David Fussey Building, on the south side of the campus.
- The car park is open air/surface.
- The car park surface consists of tarmac.
- There are 4 designated Blue Badge parking bays available.
- The Blue Badge bays are clearly marked and signposted.
- The surveyed Blue Badge parking bay dimensions are 250cm (width) x 450cm (depth).
- There is a marked zone to both sides and rear.
- The width of the marked zone is 130cm.
- The nearest designated bay is 59m from the David Fussey Building entrance.
- The most accessible route from the Blue Badge parking has a very easy ramp or slope.

Charges and Restrictions

- This car park is for staff, students, visitors and Blue Badge holders only.
- Parking is not free for all users.
- Parking is free for Blue Badge holders.
- Clearly presented parking signs are available.
- Payment machines are located on the campus, outside the Mary Seacole Building.
- There is not a payment machine with controls at a suitable height for a wheelchair user.

- The car park is ANPR controlled. Payment is made at the end of your stay using the on-site machines, in advance using the online booking system, or online by midnight using the Trust app.
Please visit the website above for information on the latter two options. Unless booked in advance, Blue Badge holders must enter their registration into the on-site machines or the Trust app to avoid a penalty charge.

- There are double automatic doors at this entrance.
- The doors open towards you.

- There is a small lip on the threshold of the opening.

Lift
- The lift surveyed is located to the right, through the automatic door into the stairwell and then to the left as you enter the building.
- The distance from the entrance is 15m.
- The most accessible route to the lift has step-free level access and automatic doors.
- The floors 0, 1 and 2 are accessed by this lift.
- The lift door has a high visual contrast.
- The lift has a level manoeuvring space in front of it for a wheelchair user (150cm x 150cm).

- The handrails are easy to grip.
- The handrails cover the flight of stairs throughout its length.
