Access To
- Mary Seacole Classroom S011 is located within the Mary Seacole Building, to the right through the doors and then immediately to the left as you enter the building.

- The most accessible route has step-free level access, doors permanently held open and shiny flooring.
- There is numbered signage on or near the entrance.
- There is step-free level access to enter Mary Seacole Classroom S011.
- There are double automatic doors which open away from you.
- The push pad for the automatic doors is at a height of 104cm.
- The width of the opening is 152cm.
- The doors have a low visual contrast.
- There is a push pad or push button to exit at a height of 91cm.
- The push pad to enter through the automatic doors is a key card reader. Successfully tapping your key card on the reader activates the automatic doors.
- The automatic function on the doors was not working when the room was surveyed (October 2025), although a key card is still required to gain access to the room. The doors were therefore de facto manual.
Teaching
- This is a teaching room.
- There is step-free level access throughout the room.
- There is room for a wheelchair user to manoeuvre (150cm x 150cm).
- There is not a hearing assistance system.
- Floor coverings are even with no trip hazards.
- The walls and floor have a high visual contrast.
- Lighting levels were even at the time of the survey.
- There are no designated spaces for wheelchair users.
- There is space for an assistance dog to rest.
- Seating available in the room includes: chairs with armrests, chairs without armrests, riser recliner chairs, lecture chairs and high stools.
- Furniture available in the room includes: tables.
- Some desks are fixed.
- The surface heights are suitable for wheelchair users.
- The clear underside space of the surfaces is not suitable for wheelchair users.
- The speaker's desk/table is height adjustable.
- This room has a television screen and a projector screen.
