Access To
- Jellicoe Lecture Theatre J106 is located on the first floor of the Jellicoe Building, straight ahead, to the left, and then diagonally to the right as you enter via the west wing entrance.

- The most accessible route has step-free level access, manual doors and narrow walkways.
- There is numbered signage on or near the entrance.
- There is step-free level access to enter Jellicoe Lecture Theatre J106.
- There are double manual doors which open towards you.
- The width of the opening is 144cm.
- The doors have a medium visual contrast.
- The entrance described above gives access to the bottom rows of seating and the speaker's area.
There is an alternative entrance to the lecture theatre located immediately to the left, through the doors and then diagonally to the left as you enter the Jellicoe Building. This entrance gives access to the back row of seating.
There is a single manual door at this entrance, which opens towards you (pull) to a width of 98cm, and has a high colour contrast. There are then seven medium-height steps with handrails on both sides leading up into the lecture theatre from the door.
These steps have markings with a low colour contrast.

- This is a lecture theatre.
- There is step-free level access throughout the majority of areas.
- The following areas have stepped access: the seating in rows 6 to 13.
- There is room for a wheelchair user to manoeuvre (150cm x 150cm).
- There is not a hearing assistance system.
- Floor coverings are even with no trip hazards.
- The walls and floor visual contrast varies between low and high.
- Lighting levels were even at the time of the survey, with unshaded light sources.

- There is tiered seating with no handrails at the steps.

- The designated spaces for wheelchair users are located at the ends of the front row of seating, either side of the central aisle.

There is no hearing loop system, but the speaker's desk is fitted with a microphone, which amplifies their voice through speakers fitted around the room.
