Overview

Getting Inside

  • The approach to the building is step-free level.
  • Registry has three entrances. One entrance provides step-free level access to the ground floor via double automatic doors. One entrance provides step-free level access via double manual doors to the rear of the building. One entrance provides step-free ramped access via a single automatic door to the rear of the building.
  • Entrances are signed as Registry.
  • The main entrance provides step-free level access to the reception foyer on the ground floor.

Getting Around

  • There is step-free level access throughout the majority of the building via lift.
  • On floor 1 there is a slight slope with handrails on both sides to access the extension wing from the direction of the lift.
  • Floor surfaces in reception are hard and smooth. Floor surfaces along all circulation routes are carpeted.
  • There are resting areas in lobby areas at the front and rear of the building with a mixture of seating.
  • Wall mounted wayfinding signage is provided at key points of circulation routes.
  • There are manual doors along corridors and to access some stairwells.

Toilet and Changing Facilities

Reception

  • The reception is located beyond the main entrance.
  • The distance from the main entrance is 3m.
  • There is step-free level access to reception.
  • The height of the reception desk is 110cm.
  • There is a lowered section at the desk.
  • The height of the lowered section is 74cm.
  • There is not a hearing assistance system.
  • There is no (or very little) background noise in this area.
  • Lighting levels vary due to the use of large glazed walls.
