Introduction

  • Services / facilities within the building include the JLT lecture theatre, seminar rooms, teaching labs, engineering lab, computer suites, technical support centre, a social area by J's T Bar on the ground floor and the connecting lobby to the Engineering and Digital Design Hub (workshops/labs: VR suite, production studio, the mechanical workshop, maker space and teaching labs).

Getting Here (Getting to the Jennison Building)

  • By Road View
    • The building is located to the north side of Canterbury Campus, which is approximately 1 mile north of Canterbury City Centre.
      The building is in located opposite the Ingram Building and can be accessed via car from Park Wood Road.
      Park Wood Road connects with the A290 Whitstable Road.
    • There is parking on either side of the building (Sibson or Sports Centre Road) as well as Blue Badge bays outside the main entrance.
      A University Pink Parking Permit, Accessible Parking Permit or Blue Badge is required to park in any bay in the car park.

  • By Bus View
    • There are frequent Unibus services linking the University campus with the centre of Canterbury and Canterbury East and West train stations.
      The nearest bus stops are on Park Wood Road or Giles Lane.
  • By Train View
    • The nearest train station is Canterbury West, to the north of the city centre.
      This is on the line from London to Kent, including Ashford International.
      There is step-free access into the station building.
      There is step-free access to both platforms by lift.
      Staff are available to assist with portable ramps between the platform and the train.
