Access Guide
Introduction
- Services / facilities within the building include student accommodation.
- Nixon Court has 979 rooms which are divided into 10 blocks (A, B, C, D, E, F, G, H, J and K). The site has a mix of ensuite rooms, accessible ensuite rooms, premier ensuite rooms and studio apartments. The studio apartments have individual kitchenettes, lounges and study areas. Other facilities on the site include 2 common rooms, a reception, security office and porters office and 2 launderettes.
- The adapted rooms are in blocks C and H. Other equipment includes silent alarms, wet room style showers, wider doors, accessible toilets and kitchens with lowered surfaces. Blocks A, B, C, D and E are accessed by using a key and blocks F, G, H, J and K are accessed by using a fob.

- Nixon Court is located to the south of the City Centre, and south east of the Main University Campus. Putney Road is accessed off Welford Road (A5199), which leads south off of the Inner Ring Road (A594).

- Bus routes 47, 47A, 48, 48A, 49, 49A, 49B, 80, 80A, 83, and 83A all stop at various points on Welford Road, close to this site.

- Leicester Station is located on the south side of the City Centre, just off the Inner Ring Road. Welford Road can be reached from here using the 48 or 80 bus. Leicester is on the London - Sheffield and the Birmingham - Stansted lines.
