Getting Here (Sutton Bonington Campus)

  • By Road View
    • Sutton Bonington campus is 11 miles southwest of Nottingham city centre. It can be accessed from the north and west via the M1 or A6 / A50, from the east via the A453 Remembrance Way from Nottingham, and from the south via the A6 from Loughborough.
      From junction 24 of the M1, head south-east on Derby Road. After 0.4 miles bear left and follow signs toward Sutton Bonington via Side Ley and Station Road. Then follow signs to the University of Nottingham, Sutton Bonington Campus on College Road.
      From Nottingham city centre, take the A453 Remembrance Way west. Take the E Midlands Parkway/Ratcliffe-on-Soar/Kingston/Marina Power Station junction, then Kegworth Road south-west. After 1.4 miles then turn left into Station Road then follow signs to the University of Nottingham, Sutton Bonington Campus on College Road.
      From Loughborough and the south, take the A6 Derby Road north. After 3 miles turn right onto the A6006 Zouch Road. After 1 mile turn left into Park Lane then follow signs to the University of Nottingham, Sutton Bonington Campus on College Road.
      Satnav users can use LE12 5RD for the quickest and most accurate journey.
    • Daily visitors may park for up to 2 hours free parking in the Visitors’ short-stay car park in front of the main building. Please report to the main campus reception to register details.
      For longer stays, park in the pay and display car park in front of the Sport’s Centre (or the overflow Minster car park) and pay at the ticket machine in the Sports Centre car park, or by using the RingGo smartphone app. Visitors may then park in any main car parks on the campus, accessed via the barrier entrances, either the main entrance on College Road or the south entrance on Landcroft Lane. Blue badge parking can be found across the campus. The campus map link is shown below.
      Please note that students are not eligible to use pay and park facilities and can only park on university campuses with permits.

  • By Bus View
    • There is a bus stop within 150 metres of the campus.
    • There are several bus services which run to the Sutton Bonington Campus. The Skylink service, which runs between Loughborough and East Midlands Airport stops on College Road. The 865 service that runs from Nornaton Soar to the NET Park and Ride tram terminus in Clifton, stops on College Road. There is also a free inter-campus bus service for both staff and students.
      Services run from the main University Park Campus to:
      - Sutton Bonington Campus (route 901)
      - Royal Derby Hospital Centre
      - King's Meadow Campus
      - Jubilee Campus.
