  • At 28 meters there is a lamppost in the middle of the path which narrows the path to 80cm.
  • At the end of the path there is an entrance road to Willoughby Close.
  • Follow the path round to the left along Willoughby Close to the dropped kerb.

Willoughby Close Crossing

  • There is a dropped kerb with tactile paving to cross Willoughby Close.
  • The road does not have a marked crossing.
  • The road is 3 meters wide.
  • Traffic comes from the left and right.

Willoughby Close to Beeston Lane Crossing

  • After crossing Willoughby Close turn right and follow the path around to the left.
  • The path has an easy uphill gradient.
  • The surface of the path is tarmac.
  • There is a University Campus Map on the left.
  • There is a grate on the path which is slightly raised and the path is uneven in places as can be seen in photographs 3 and 5.
  • Continue on the path for 50 meters to the zebra crossing on the right.

Beeston Lane Crossing

Beeston Lane Crossing to Jubilee Avenue

  • There are railings and an lamppost on the right and the kerb on the left.
  • The gradient of the path is an easy uphill slope.
  • After 20 meters there is a zebra crossing to cross Jubilee Avenue.

Jubilee Avenue Crossing

Jubilee Avenue Crossing to Internal Campus Road

  • There is a postbox and bin on the left.
  • The surface of the path is tarmac and the gradient is an easy uphill.
  • After 7 meters the path becomes a long steep uphill slope.

  • After 50 meters there is a path and signpost on the left.

  • After 25 meters there is an Activity Station on the left.
  • The path continues upwards for a further 135 meters.

  • 26 meters further on the west entrance to the Law and Social Science Building is on the left.
  • After a further 32 meters there is an internal campus road to cross.
  • On the left at the crossing are the steps to the south entrance to the Law and Social Sciences Building.

Internal Campus Road Crossing

  • The internal campus road does not have a marked crossing.
  • The crossing has dropped kerbs and tactile paving on both sides.
  • Traffic comes from the left and right.
  • The crossing is 4 meters long.

Internal Campus Road Crossing to Library Road

  • After crossing the internal campus road continue straight ahead.
  • The surface of the path is tarmac.
  • The gradient of the path is steep uphill.
  • There is grass on both sides of the path.
  • There are grates in the path which are slightly raised.
  • The path is uneven in places.
  • After 39 meters there is bench seating on the left.
  • Continue ahead for a further 15 meters to a path on the left to the Security Office and Hallward Library.
  • At the path there is corduroy hazard warning surfaces.
  • Continue straight ahead for 47 meters to Library Road
  • The Hallward Library is on the left.
  • There is a bus information notice on the left.

Library Road Crossing

  • The crossing at Library Road is not marked.
  • There are level kerbs and tactile pavings on both sides of the road.
  • Traffic comes from the left and right.
  • The road is 4 meters wide.

Library Road to Cut Through Lane Crossing

  • After crossing Library Road continue straight ahead.
  • After 4 meters turn right.
  • There is bench seating on the left after 7 meters.
  • The surface of the path is tarmac.
  • The gradient is steep uphill with a camber to the right.
  • After 25 meters there are corduroy hazard warning surface on the right.
  • Continue along the path for a further 17 meters to the dropped kerb to cross Cut Through Lane.

Cut Through Lane Crossing

  • The crossing is not marked.
  • The crossing is 5 meters across.
  • Traffic comes from the left.

Cut Through Lane Crossing to Bus Stop

  • After crossing Cut Through Lane turn right.
  • The surface of the path is tarmac.
  • The gradient of the path is an easy uphill slope.
  • The University Bus Stop is 9 meters on the left.

Finish Point - Library Road Bus Stop

  • The bus stop is outside Djanogly Event Space.
  • The bus stop can get busy at times.
  • The buses here are numbers 903 Hopper Bus which goes to Jubilee Campus, 904 Hopper Bus which goes to Royal Derby Hospital and 34C which goes to the University Main Campus.
