- There is no step-free access from the first floor upwards within Newman House.
- The establishment provides 36 standard twin bedrooms and 1 single bedroom.

- Standard accommodation has shared bathrooms with stepped shower cubicles.
- The Lions Bubbles and Suds Cave laundry is located in the basement of Newman House, although there is no access from within the building.

Getting Inside
- The approach to the building is step-free via a slope with a very easy gradient.
- There are 2 external entrances into the building.
- There is a stepped entrance next to Bede House which is overcome by a ramp with a slight gradient.
- There is also an entrance next to the Howard building which has a slope with a slight gradient.
- Both entrances provide access to the ground floor of the 2 stairwells within the building.
- The entrances are both signed 'Newman House'.
- There is also an internal entrance from within the adjoining Howard Building, which also provides access to the ground floor of one of the stairwells within the building.
Getting Around
- There is only stepped access to standard accommodation on the first, second, and third floors.
- Floor surfaces along all circulation routes are hard and smooth.
- The fourth floor is out of bounds for purposes of access.

Entrance
- This entrance is located in the corner of the quadrangle next to Bede House.

- The ramp is between 75cm and 150cm wide with handrails on both sides.
