Access To
- The Prayer Room and Lounge is located on the ground floor to the rear of Parkstead House, through the ornamental staircase ground floor stairwell.

- The most accessible route has a slight ramp or slope, doors permanently held open, narrow walkways and shiny flooring.
- The slope has a slight gradient.
- The route with doors permanently held open is via the right-hand corridor along the front of the building, then left along the Monarch Walkway corridor between Stair D and Stair C, towards the Whitelands Canteen, then left again.
- The distance from reception is 100m.
- There is an alternative route with manual doors via the Stained Glass Hallway.
- The distance from reception via the Stained Glass Hallway is 60m.
- There is written text and numbered signage on or near the entrance.
- There is step-free level access into the room.
- There is a single manual door which opens away from you.
- The width of the opening is 88cm.
- The door has a low visual contrast.
Room (PH.G26 Lounge)
- There is step-free level access throughout the room.
- There is room for a wheelchair user to manoeuvre (150cm x 150cm).
- There is space for an assistance dog to rest.
- The walls and floor have a high visual contrast.
- Seating available in the room includes: chairs with armrests, armchairs and sofas.
- Furniture available in the room includes: tables and coffee tables.
- Some surface heights are suitable for wheelchair users.
- The clear underside space of the surfaces is suitable for wheelchair users.
- There is not a hearing assistance system.
- There is no (or very little) background noise in this room.
- Lighting levels were even at the time of the survey.
- Additional facilities include: a kitchen sink, a kettle, a soap dispenser, a towel dispenser, and an open waste bin.
Room (PH.G27 Prayer Room)

- There is an alternative entrance in the corridor to the rear of the prayer room.
