Introduction

Getting Here

  • By Road View
    • The Teaching and Learning Building is located in Glasgow on Cathedral Street which runs between Glasgow Cathedral and Glasgow Queen Street Station.
      From the M8 westbound, at junction 15 use the left 2 lanes to take the A803 exit to Cathedral Glasgow Cross.
      Continue onto Stirling Road.
      Continue through the first set of traffic lights, turn right at the second set of lights onto Cathedral Street.
      Turn right at the lights into Montrose Street, then right again into Rottenrow.
      The road bends right into North Portland Street. The building is on the left.
      The Curran Building is the first building on the left.
      From the M8 eastbound, at junction 15, use the right hand lane to merge onto Springburn Rd/A803 towards Cathedral/Glasgow Cross.
      At the first traffic lights turn right onto Castle St/A8.
      At the next traffic lights, in front of the Royal Infirmary, take the right hand land and turn right. Then take the next left on to Stirling Road.
      Turn right onto St. James Road.
      The Curran Building is the first building on the left.
    • There is an underground car park off Cathedral Street and a surface car park of St James Road for permit holders.
      There is on street parking on St James Road including Blue Badge bays. There is a public car park on Cathedral Street, Cathedral Precinct Car Park 2.
  • By Bus View
    • Buses stop on George Street at the Albion Street stop eastbound. The stop is served by First Bus route 41 and Glasgow City Bus route 15.
      Buses stop on George Street at the Shuttle Street stop westbound. The stop is served by First Bus route 41.
  • By Train View
    • The nearest accessible station is Glasgow Queen Street which has both local and national train services. This is a Category A station. This station has step-free access to all platforms. The Passenger Assist meeting point is at the Ticket Office. The station is fully accessible, with lift access to George Square. Glasgow Queen Street is 600m from the Learning and Teaching Building. Take the Glasgow Square exit and turn left onto George Street. After about 540m turn left into North Portland Street. The building is 60m on the right.
      High Street station is a closer station with local train services. However, it is a Category C station. There is no step free access, with stairs down to both platforms.     • The nearest Underground Station is Buchanan Street which is 750m from the building. From the station exit, turn left into George Street. Continue 700m and turn left into North Portland Street. The Learning and Teaching building is on the right.
