Access Guide
Location of Room(s)
- 123 Resuscitation and Operating Theatre is located on the ground floor of the Helen McArdle House, ahead and slightly to the left of the Patient Transfer Suite entrance.
- There is step free access from the Patient Transfer Suite entrance to 123 Resuscitation and Operating Theatre .

Lab(s)
- Signage for the room(s) is available in upper and lower case lettering that is clearly visible on or near the door.
- The corridor outside the room(s) is sufficiently wide enough (150cm+) to allow wheelchair users to pass.
- There is step free access into the room(s) from the corridor.
- The door opening width(s) is/are 75cm+ for the room(s).
- The door(s) for the room(s) is/are not push pad activated.
- Access to the room can be seen in picture 3. The double doors in the centre of the picture give access from the Patient Transfer Unit The double doors to the side give access to the 123A Isolation Room (also see picture 2).
- There is not a hearing assistance system for the room(s).
- There is a visual fire alarm beacon in the room(s).
- There is not fixed furniture within the room(s).
- The clear floor space beneath tables in the room(s) is 68cm.
- A height adjustable table/bench is not available.
- There is a/are chair(s) with armrests on both sides within the room(s).
- The room does have an unobstructed minimum turning space of 150cm x 150cm.
- Floor coverings in the room(s) are even with no trip hazards.
- This is a mock Resuscitation and Operating Theatre with two resuscitation workstations in the room.
The workstations are 62cm at the lowest and 80cm at the highest.
