Introduction

  • The building includes a fitness centre as well as sports facilities with a seating capacity of 2,000 people. It also contains conferencing facilities. The building is located next to the Riverside Building with which it shares a car park. There are further sports facilities there. The arena is a training centre for British Wheelchair Basketball (BWB). It receives funding from Sport England as an Iconic Facility. It has received the Guardian Award for HE ‘Buildings that Inspire’ .
