Getting Here (Zone 7)

By Road
View
- Take the A64 to York
Then take the A19 exit towards York (Centre)/Selby
At the roundabout, take the first exit onto A19
Turn right onto Heslington Lane
At the roundabout, take the second exit and stay on Heslington Lane
Turn right onto Holmefield Lane
Holmefield Lane turns left and becomes Garrowby Way
The destination is on the left. - There is Blue Badge and standard parking available in Car Park 7.1 (Halifax St Lawrence Court) for University Parking Permit Holders.
There is also parking available in 60 minute standard parking bays in the Car Park 7.1 (Halifax St Lawrence Court).

By Bus

- There is a University Bus that stops in front of the Halifax College Reception Building.
The UB1 Campus shuttle operates between here and the other campuses.
The bus is operated by First Group.

Building Car Park

- There are no parking charges that apply on the day.

- There are a number of 1 hour standard parking spaces in the car park for non permit holders (as shown in photograph 4).
- Parking Permits are available from Dalham Farm located on Newton Way, just off Heslington Lane, approximately 500m from the Campus.
Approach
- There is level access to the houses from St Lawrence Court (photographs 1 and 2) and Ingram Court (photographs 3 and 4).
- There is tactile paving on the path leading in from Ingram Court.
- There is a steep slope on the approach from the car park to the Younger Court tunnel, which leads into the centre of Younger Court (photographs 5 - 8).
- There are bollards on the approach with a minimum width of 117cm.
- This slope can be overcome exiting the car park at the north end, between Younger Court and St Lawrence Court.
- There is a grassed area in front of the houses (shown in photograph 9).
- There is no seating on the grassed area.
