COVID-19 Safety Measures on Campus

  • The health and wellbeing of students, staff and visitors is the University's first priority at all times. Everyone at the University has a role to play in keeping - ourselves and those around us - as safe as possible.
The University is asking everyone to:
Protect: by taking proactive steps to keep one another safe.
Respect: by having compassion for others and collectively supporting a safe community for us all.
Be kind: by looking out for other people and paying particular attention to those struggling or concerned.
You can find out more about the COVID precautions by visiting this link.
  • Face Coverings View
    • Staff, students and visitors to campus are currently compulsory in all but a few indoor spaces but with regulations changing please see the latest guidance on the webpages before coming to campus.
    • If you are exempt from wearing a face covering, you may wish to indicate this by wearing a Sunflower Lanyard or carrying an exemption card. Students can collect these from college receptions; Staff can collect them from the Security Centre (XA) and Vanbrugh Reception, which is located in the Information Centre (MSD).

  • Cross-Campus Buses View
  • Services and Facilities View
    • You will continue to find comprehensive preventative measures across campus, including provision of hand sanitiser and protective screens.
All ventilation systems are configured to provide maximum intake of air from outside.
Airing rooms is important as it reduces the number of infectious aerosols in the air. Simple actions like opening windows regularly throughout the day, especially when you share a space with others, and making sure that mechanical ventilation systems and kitchen and bathroom extractor fans are used correctly, will reduce your risk.
Some catering services and information facilities have been adjusted to cope with changes in campus demand and to incorporate COVID-secure measures. See the Campus safety and facilities pages for up to date information.
