Access Guide
Introduction
- This guide describes the route from York Station to the East Campus Interchange via bus.

York Station to York Station Bus Stop
- Exit the station onto Queen Street and turn right.
- There is a tactile mat just in front of the entrance. Beyond that, the surface of the pavement is block paving (photograph 1).
- There are bollards just in front of the entrance with a width of 118cm (photograph 2).
- Continue forward along the block paved pavement (photograph 3) and head through an archway with a width of 171cm (photograph 4).
- Beyond the archway continue forward (photograph 5) until you reach a zebra crossing which has tactile dropped kerbs on either side (photographs 6 and 7).
- Immediately beyond this is a pedestrian crossing with controls at a height of 114cm.
- There are tactile dropped kerbs on either side of the road (photographs 8 and 9).
- Turn left on the other side of the road and head towards the bus stop.
- There is a slight slope with a width of 160cm leading to the bus stop (photographs 10 and 11).
York Station Bus Station
- The bus stop has a sheltered area and seating.
- The routes from the bus stop to the West Interchange are routes 66 and 66x.
- There are digital bus schedules at the bus stop.
West Cambridge Interchange
- The West Interchange bus station has seating and a shelter.
- There is an information point with a screen at a height of 140cm.
East Campus Interchange
- The East Interchange stop has sheltered seating.
- There is an electronic display of the bus schedule here.
- There are slopes leading away from the interchange and towards the campus.
