COVID-19 Information

  • The information in this section was taken in October 2020.
  • There have been no changes to the parking.
  • The terminal buildings are now restricted to travelling public only and anyone using the services.
  • Separate entrances and exits are clearly marked for both Departures and Arrivals.
  • Sanitising stations are available throughout both terminals at main entrances and high footfall areas.
  • There are internal queuing systems within the terminal buildings and one way systems have been introduced and are clearly marked/signed.
  • There are pre-recorded PA announcements in place reminding passengers of social distancing, to wash hands and also to wear face masks.
  • Clear signage, posters and floor markings have been installed throughout the terminal buildings.
  • Protective clear screens have been installed at Check-in, Disruption desk, information/post office desk, BA lounge and the lost baggage desk in Arrivals.
  • There have been no changes to the toilet facilities.
  • There is a testing centre set up in the Arrivals Hall which is testing all inbound passengers. Additional staff are available supporting passengers through this process.
  • Face masks must be worn throughout the terminal buildings.

Getting Here

  • By Road View
    • The airport is located near St Peters, west of St Helier the capital.
      From St Helier head northwest on the A2 Victoria Avenue.
      After 2.5 km the road turns slightly left and becomes the A1 La Route de la Haule.
      After 850m at the roundabout, take the second exit onto A12 La Route de Beaumont, signposted St Peter and St Ouen.
      After 1.7 km, at the roundabout, take the first exit onto B36 L'Avenue de la Reine Elizabeth II, signposted Red Houses.
      Continue 1.2 km to the next roundabout.
      Take the second exit and enter the airport.
    • There is a drop off/pick up zone for all passengers on the service road, the "Pit Stop", just before the Departures Terminal on the left. Parking is free for 10 minutes to allow time to drop off or pick up passengers.
      There is a second Express Drop Off zone directly outside the Departures Terminal main entrance. Stopping is only permitted to allow passengers to be dropped off.
      The Long Stay Car Park is opposite the Departures Terminal Building. Blue Badge parking is available in this car park.
      The Arrivals Car Park is outside the Arrivals Terminal and is a short stay car park. Blue Badge parking is available in this car park.
  • By Bus View
    • There is a bus stop within 150 metres of the venue.
    • LibertyBus operate a frequent direct bus service (route 15) between Liberation Station in St Helier and the airport. The journey takes approximately 30 minutes.
      Buses drop off outside the Departures Terminal entrances and pick up at the bus stop outside the Arrivals Terminal.
      Other services that also stop at/near the airport including route 9 between Greve de Lecq and St Helier and route 22 between L'Etacq and St Helier.

Getting Help and Assistance

  • Special Assistance please click here (new tab).
  • There is a member of staff available for help and assistance.
  • There is not a member of staff trained in British Sign Language.
  • British Sign Language interpreters cannot be provided on request.
  • There is an assistance dog toilet or toileting area at the venue/nearby.
  • The assistance dog toilet or toileting area is located the grass verge at the end of the Departures Terminal.
  • Water bowls for assistance dogs are not available.
  • There are mobility aids available.
  • The mobility aids available include wheelchairs.
  • To obtain mobility aids please contact the Special Assistance desk in the Departures Lounge.
  • For passengers requiring Special Assistance, please let your airline know of your particular needs at least 48 hours before you travel. They will then make arrangements to ensure your requirements are met.
    If you are planning on travelling with your own electric wheelchair, please advise your airline in advance.
    Please check in at least 90 minutes before the stated time of departure.
  • For Blue Badge bay users wishing to take their Blue Badge with them when travelling abroad, contact the Customer Relations desk to obtain a temporary parking permit to display in the car.
  • For passengers with particular needs in relation to autism, dementia or other particular mental health needs, please contact the Customer Relations team by e-mail at least 48 hours before travel, specifying particular requirements. They will then endeavour to meet your needs.

Car Park Entrance

  • Upon entering the airport from the roundabout, follow the service road.
  • The entrance to the Arrivals Car Park is immediately in front of the Arrivals Terminal building, at the end of the service road.
  • There is no height restriction for the car park.
  • There is an entance barrier into the car park.
  • There is a help/assistance intercom located at the entrance barrier ticket machine.
  • There is not a hearing loop fitted on the ticket machine.
  • There is a touchscreen at the barrier.
  • Blue Badge parking is to the right as you enter the car park.
  • Payment is made at the ticket machines in the Arrivals and Departure Terminal buildings.


  • Parking View
    • The venue does have its own parking facilities.
    • The car park is located to the left of the Arrivals Terminal.
    • The car park type is open air/surface.
    • The car park does not have a height restriction barrier.
    • The car park does have a barrier control system.
    • There is a touchscreen at the barrier.
    • The car park surface is tarmac.
    • Clearly marked/signposted parent and child parking bays are not available.
    • All parking spaces are provided on a first come first served basis.
    • There are additional car parks for staff and visitors.
  • Blue Badge Parking View
    • There is a/are Blue Badge parking bay(s) available.
    • The Blue Badge bay(s) markings are faded.
    • There is/are 2 designated Blue Badge parking bay(s) within the car park.
    • The dimensions of the designated Blue Badge parking bay(s) surveyed are 465cm x 470cm (15ft 3in x 15ft 5in).
    • Parking spaces for Blue Badge holders do not need to be booked in advance.
  • Paying View
    • There are parking charges for the car park.
    • Payment signs are provided.
    • Payment signs are not clearly presented.
    • Payment signs are located at the entrance to the car park.
    • Payment term signs do not make it clear if parking charges apply to Blue Badge holders.
    • Payment machines are located inside the building.
    • There is not a payment machine at a convenient height for wheelchair users.
    • There is a level turning space (minimum 185cm x 210cm) in front of the payment machine(s).

  • Access from the Car Park View
    • The route from the car park to the entrance is accessible to a wheelchair user with assistance.
    • Assistance may be required because there is/are dropped kerbs.
    • The entrance is clearly visible from the car park.
    • The surface on the approach to the entrance is tarmac and block paving.
    • There is not a road to cross between the car park and the entrance.
    • There is no tactile paving on dropped kerbs between the car park and the entrance.
    • The nearest designated Blue Badge parking bay is approximately 25m (27yd 1ft) from the Arrivals Terminal Car Park Exit.
  • Drop-off Point(s) View
    • There is a/are clearly marked drop-off point(s).
    • The drop-off points(s) is/are located on the service road into the airport.
    • The route from the drop-off point(s) to the entrance is accessible to a wheelchair user with assistance.
    • Assistance may be required because there is/are uneven surfaces.
    • There is some tactile paving on dropped kerbs between the drop-off point(s) and the entrance.
  • Comments View
    • The car park is also used for coach and excursion pick up. At weekends the car park can become very busy.

Route from Arrivals Terminal to Arrivals Car Park

  • From the Arrivals Terminal Car Park Exit, take the path directly ahead.
  • There is a slight incline from the exit to the car park.
  • Use the zebra crossing to cross the road.
  • There is no tactile paving at the zebra crossing.
  • The car park is on the left.
  • There is a dropped kerb without tactile paving.

Car Park Exit

  • There is a help/assistance intercom located at the exit ticket machine.
  • There is not a hearing loop fitted at the ticket machine.
  • Card or contactless payments may be made at the ticket points. At the time of survey the payment facility was not working (October 2018).
  • Drivers are advised to pay at the machines in the terminal buildings or in the car parks.
  • Turn left as you exit the car park to exit the airport.
