- The footbridge is used to cross the railway between the Station Parade entrance for platform 1, and the West Park Road entrance for platform 2 (photographs 1 to 3).
- The footbridge steps are 18m from the Station Parade entrance for platform 1.
- There is step-free access across the railway using "the blue bridge" via Station Parade and High Park Road, crossing over to High Park Avenue, and joining North Road beneath the bridge towards West Park Road, a route of approximately 630m (photographs 4 to 11).
- There are width restrictions to 76cm along this route, including tree trunks and junction boxes (photographs 4 and 5).
- There is a very long slope on a slight to steep incline along High Park Road with uneven surfaces including dropped kerbs, uneven paving slabs, and tarmac infilling (photographs 5 to 10).
- Alternative step-free access to platform 2 from platform 1 is to continue on the train to the next stop at Gunnersbury where staff will assist with a platform change and then return to Kew Gardens.
- Alternative step-free access from platform 2 to platform 1 is to continue on the train to the next stop at Richmond, make a platform change, and then return to Kew Gardens.
- Customers are advised to alert staff from the train prior to continuing with either of these alternative options.
