Access Guide
Ramp or Slope and Steps
- The ramp is steep and between 75cm and 150cm wide .
- The ramp has handrails on both sides.
- There are 2 steps.
- The steps are not clearly marked with no handrails.
- The ramp overcomes the steps.
Entrance (Pinewood Pod)
- The entrance surveyed is located at the front of the pod.
- There is ramped/sloped or stepped access at this entrance.
- There is a single manual door which open towards you.
- The width of the opening is 80cm.
- There is not a second set of doors.
Accessible Accommodation
- There are 2 steps.
- The bed is single and not at a height of 48cm.
- The height of the bed is 52cm.
- The room does not have an unobstructed minimum turning space of 150cm x 150cm next to the bed.
- The room surveyed has a sofa.
- The room has: a bed at a recommended height (between 45cm - 52cm), light switches at a recommended height (between 75cm - 120cm), plug sockets at a recommended height (between 40cm - 100cm) and plug sockets next to the bed.
- There is no emergency alarm.
- There is no hoist available.
- The room has hard flooring and soft flooring.
- There is a 5cm lip at the threshold to the entrance door (see photograph 2).
Standard Toilets and Showers
- At the far side of the camping pod area there are both Ladies and Gents standard toilets and showers.
- There are two steps into each building, the tallest step has a height of 22cm. The door opens outwards and has a width of 73cm.
- The wash basins are 84cm high and have twist taps.
- The shower cubicles have a door width of 63cm and the shower heads are adjustable between 140cm and 200cm.
