Getting In and Around

- There is step-free access via slope at the most accessible entrance.
- There is step-free level access throughout the majority of areas.
- The following areas have step-free access via ramps or slopes: the slipway and the Seabird boat.
- Access throughout may include uneven surfaces, manual doors and narrow openings.
- The following facilities are available: a seat/chair, a water bowl for assistance dogs and a manual wheelchair.

Access To (Bressay slipway)
- The slipway is accessed directly from the promenade at Victoria Pier, on the right hand side.
- The journey time from the top of the slipway to the mooring area is approximately 2 minutes.

- The ramp is over 150cm wide .
Access To (The Seabird)
- The Seabird will be moored by the slipway. All passengers embark at the stern via a steel platform and ramp.
- The journey time from the top of the slipway to the Seabird is approximately 2 minutes.
- The most accessible route has step-free level access and a ramp or slope.
- There is step-free access via ramp onto the Seabird.
- The ramp is between 75cm and 150cm wide with handrails on both sides.
- The width of the opening is 82cm.
Designated Seating (The Seabird deck)
- The designated seating area surveyed is located on deck to the rear of the Seabird.
- The most accessible route to the designated seating has uneven surfaces and narrow walkways.
- The designated seating area is not clearly marked or signed.
- There are 2 designated spaces for wheelchair users.
- The view from this seating area is clear from obstructions.
- Companions sit next to you.
- There is a member of staff available for assistance.
- There is space for an assistance dog to rest.
- Seating available in this area includes: chairs without armrests and benches.

Designated Seating (The Seabird cabin)

- The toilet is located on the deck of the boat to the right hand side.
- The most accessible route has a step, manual doors and narrow openings.
- There is stepped access into the toilet.

- There are no ambulant toilet facilities available.

- There is no hand basin, hygiene packs are provided to all passengers.
This toilet would only suit ambulant wheelchair users.
