- The venue has its own car park.
- The nearest train station is Aviemore.

Getting In and Around

- There is step-free level access at the most accessible entrance.
- There is step-free level access throughout.
- The following facilities are available: a seat/chair and a water bowl for assistance dogs.

Toilet and Changing Facilities

- There is 1 toilet with adaptations.
- The toilet with adaptations is located to the right hand side of the hide building.
Parking
- The car park is located in the layby, off the B970 road, opposite the drive that leads to The Hide.
- The car park is open air/surface.
- There are no designated Blue Badge parking bays available.
- Parking is free for all users.
- The route from the car parking to The Hide has uneven surfaces and a manual gate.
Visitors can arrive in advance should they wish to park near The Hide entrance.
Entrance
- This entrance is located at the front of The Hide building.
- There is step-free level access at the entrance.
- There is a single manual door at this entrance.
- The door opens towards you.
- The width of the opening is 90cm.
Exhibition Space (The Hide)
- This area is indoors.
- There is step-free level access throughout all areas.
- There is room for a wheelchair user to manoeuvre (150cm x 150cm).
- There is no (or very little) background noise.
- Display information includes: televisions/screens.
- There is not a hearing assistance system.
- Seating available in this area includes: chairs without armrests.
- Furniture available in this area includes: tables, high tables and long tables.

Location and Access

- The toilet surveyed is located past the glass house, to the rear of the main house.
- The most accessible route to the toilet has step-free level access and manual doors.
- There is step-free level access into the facility.
- There is pictorial and written text signage on or near the door.
- The door opens inwards.
- The width of the door opening is 89cm.
- The door has a locking handle.

Dimensions and Features

- There is room for a wheelchair user to manoeuvre (150cm x 150cm).
- There is a lateral transfer space to the right as you face the toilet.
- The lateral transfer space is 89cm (from the side of the toilet pan to the wall).
- There is a push button flush in the centre of the cistern.
- There is a horizontal grab rail on the non-transfer side.
- There is a vertical grab rail on the transfer side.
- There is a dropdown rail on the transfer side.
- The toilet seat is 48cm from the floor.
- There is a wall mounted toilet roll holder, a wash basin, a wall mounted soap dispenser and a wall mounted towel dispenser available.
- The wash basin has a lever mixer tap.
- The vertical grab rails are on both sides of the wash basin.
- There is a pull cord emergency alarm but it was tied up at the time of the survey.
- The cubicle has a waste bin.
- Additional features include: a mirror, coat hooks and a baby changing table.
