The Conservation Hangar Entrance
- This entrance is located towards the middle of the Conservation in Action building.
- The entrance area is not clearly signed.
- There is not a canopy or recess which provides weather protection at the entrance.
- There is step-free access via a slope at the entrance.
- The slope has a slight gradient.
- There are double manual doors.
- The doors are permanently held open.
- The width of the opening is 150cm.
- There is a small lip on the threshold of the opening.
- The doors have a low colour contrast.
- There is a second set of double automatic doors.
- The doors open by sliding.
- The width of the opening is 133cm.
- There is a small lip on the threshold of the opening.
- The doors have a low colour contrast.
Conservation in Action Hangar
- The area is indoors.
- There is step-free level access throughout all areas.
- There is room for a wheelchair user to manoeuvre.
- The walls and floor have a low colour contrast.
- The following may be experienced here: sudden loud noises.
- There may be background noise in this area.
- Lighting levels were even at the time of the survey, with unshaded light sources.
- Display information includes: audio guides and information boards.
- There is not a hearing assistance system.
- Seating available in this area includes: benches.
- There is a low aircraft wing that visitors will need to duck under along the route through the hangar; the current clearance height is approximately 152 cm.

- There is a open gap leading into the main exhibit.

The Rolls Royce Hangar
