About Waterloo Underground Station

Waterloo Underground Station is located beneath Waterloo National Rail Station close to the London South Bank area. The station is situated in Fare Zone 1 and is one of the busiest in the capital. It is served by four lines; the Bakerloo, Jubilee, Northern and Waterloo & City lines. The South Bank is home to world-class cultural venues, visitor attractions, tree-lined riverside walks and iconic landmarks like the London Eye.

The station has entrances in York Road and Waterloo Road and also has many access points from the National Rail station above, including the platforms at peak times.  There is step-free access to and from the Jubilee Line only, the other lines are accessed via a combination of escalators and steps.

Detailed Access Guides have been created to describe the routes to and from each line as well as the transfer routes between the lines. The routes have been ordered to give priority to the most accessible and shortest ways to get to and from the relevant platforms.

You can click on the links below to see the Detailed Access Guides for each line.
