Main Entrance to the Ashton Building to the Aspire Health and Beauty Suite and the White Horse Restaurant

  • The college reception faces the main entrance. On the ground floor the route through to the Sports Hall, Student Common Room and ARC Theatre is to the left of the desk. The Learning Resource Centre is to the right at the front of the building and the corridor to the right adjacent to the reception desk leads to the Trowbridge Restaurant and the lift and stairs to the upper floors.
  • After entering the college via the main entrance proceed towards the reception desk and turn right.
  • Go through the left hand doorway. There are double doors, 180cm wide which are held open by magnetic catches (these will close automatically in the event of fire).
  • Immediately beyond the door the flooring changes from non slip slate tile to carpet.
  • Continue through the open 150cm wide doorway and opposite the Trowbridge Restaurant door is the lift to the upper floors. The stairs are 8m ahead of you.
  • On the first floor, on leaving the lift, turn left through the double doors to the Aspire Health and Beauty Suite.
  • Continuing beyond the suite the route is a bridge above the reception area leading to an easy ramp up to the double doors into the Broughton Building.
  • On leaving the lift on the second floor turn right. The door into the White Horse Restaurant (the training restaurant, which is open to the public) is 2m to the right. The rest of the floor is the training kitchen area.
