Introduction

Queen Street is located near the City Centre.
Queen Street and St Nicholas Street are not pedestrianised, The Cross is partially pedestrianised.
The nearest railway station is Worcester Foregate Street.
There is a taxi rank along this route; it is located at the north end of The Cross.

This route runs from Queen Street opposite the Cornmarket Car Park, to The Cross via St Nicholas Street
This route is not pedestrianised throughout.
The total length of this route is approximately 0.16km (0.10 miles).
This route is divided into 3 sections in this guide: -
Section 1. Queen Street.
Section 2. St Nicholas Street.
Section 3. The Cross
The route is relatively level throughout.
Pathway surfaces are concrete paving slabs and block paving and tarmac.
The pathways have some uneven sections, which include some raised manhole covers.
There is only one side road to cross on this route -Trinity Street
The road surface is tarmac, with dropped kerbs and tactile paving at the crossing point.
There are opportunities to sit and rest.

The road is a one-way road.
The surface of the road at all crossings is tarmac.
The pathways in this section are formed of block paving.
The pathways on both sides are narrow in places.
There is a slight uphill slope running along St Nicholas Street.
There are some uneven areas on the pathways throughout this section.
There are some obstructions along the pavement on both sides such as, railings, cycle racks, bus stops, bins and signboards.
There is one side road to cross along this section, Trinity Street, it has dropped kerbs, but no tactile paving.
