Getting To The Hospital (Worcestershire Royal Hospital)

  • By Road View
    • If you are approaching from the west via the A38, exit onto the B4205 George Street and head west over the bridge onto Tallow Hill towards the Railway Station. At the junction with Shrub Hill Road turn right then take the first left onto Newtown Road (B4636). Continue on the road until you see Worcestershire Royal Hospital on the right. If you are approaching from the north or south via the A4440, turn west onto Newtown Road (B4636) at the island next to the Worcester Livestock Market. Worcestershire Royal Hospital is located on your left. If you are approaching from the east on the A44 turn right at the island with the A4440 and head north until you see the Worcester Livestock Market and turn left onto Newtown Road (B4636) and the Worcestershire Royal Hospital is located on your left.
    • There are 2 main open air car parks at Worcestershire Royal Hospital for visitors and patients. They are called the Yellow Car Park and the Green Car Park. These car parks operate a "pay on foot" system with payment machines available inside the Main Hospital Entrance and in each of the car parks. There are also a number of limited spaces at the Aconbury Building, Worcestershire Breast Unit and the Worcestershire Oncology Centre. These are "pay and display" car parks. Payment machines are located in these car parks and at the road side for the any road side parking on site.
  • By Bus View
    • Bus routes 36/38/W3 and X38 all stop near the Main Hospital Entrance and the Children's Unit on site. Routes 38/150A/356 and X38 also stop on Newtown Road at the Oaklands stop.
    • There is an onsite bus stop.
    • There are 2 bus stops on site, one to the right of the Main Hospital Entrance and one near the Children's Unit.
  • By Train View
    • Worcester Shrub Hill Station is approximately 1.5miles from the hospital. Both the X38 and 38 routes run from the station. Foregate Street Station is located in the city centre and is approximately 2.7miles from the hospital. Both the X38 and 38 routes run from this station. There are also several taxi services which run from both stations.
