  • All Trust staff undertake disability awareness training as part of their Equality and Diversity training.
  • Assistance Dogs
  • Assistance dogs are welcome in the hospital and the Outpatient areas.
  • However, assistance dogs are not allowed into direct multi-patient clinical areas, such as wards, due to Infection Control and also other reasons.
  • Staff are usually asked to accommodate a side room or visiting area for patients that require an assistance dog or people visiting with an assistance dog.
