Overview

Getting Inside

  • There is a slight ramp on approach to the building on approach from the left. This ramp bypasses steps that lead directly to the entrance.
  • The main entrance is signed as Foss FS.
  • The link from Skell is not signed.
  • The link from De Grey Court - DG is signed as D.G.286 Bridge Link to Foss.
  • The main entrance can be accessed by either a very slight slope on approach from the right of the building and a set of steps on approach from the left of the building.
  • The entrance itself consists of two sets of automatic double doors.
  • There is a step free link from the Skell building on the first floor. The entrance is a single manual door.
  • The Second floor Link from De Grey Court - There is a single manual door at the entrance this has steps on approach with a platform lift to bypass them. .

Getting Around

  • There is step-free level access throughout the building on all floors.
  • Floor surfaces some circulation routes are hard and smooth, with some having a shiny finish. Other circulation routes are carpeted. .
  • There are resting areas in some circulation and lobby areas with a mixture of seating.
  • There is limited signage present within the building.
  • There are manual doors in some corridor and lobby areas.
  • There are lockers available along the corridors.
  • The Biomedical Centre on the second floor is locked and is only open to individuals who have had induction training.
