• The lakes were designed as features in the large Belfast City Park.
• North Lake is accessible by boat from South Lake depending on the water height.

• Photographs 4 and 5 show the standard jetty and pontoons at the rear of South Lake Leisure Centre.
• The gates are opened by staff during the season.
• Photograph 6 shows the tactile paving at the lakes edge.
• During the opening season there are various activities available including kayaking, open water swimming, an inflatable obstacle course, banana boat ride, wakeboarding and water skiing.
