Getting Inside

There are steep slopes on the approach to the main entrance from the Red Car Park. - Anselm has 8 entrances. The main entrance is located at the front of the building and provides step-free level access to the ground floor (via a very slight ramp). There are two sets of double automatic doors at this entrance.
There is an entrance located in the courtyard opposite Becket, which provides step-free access to the ground floor via a slight ramp and double automatic doors (push pad activated).
The Christ Church Students' Union entrance is located to the rear left of the building, opposite Verena Holmes, and provides step-free access into the Christ Church Students' Union, via a slight ramp and two sets of automatic doors.
There is an external entrance to the Health Sim Space, located to the right at the bottom of the ramp leading down to the Christ Church Students' Union entrance. This entrance gives step-free access to the Health Sim Space, via a slight ramp and automatic doors.
There is an entrance located in the courtyard opposite Fleming and Fisher, which provides step-free access to the ground floor via a slight ramp and double automatic doors (push pad activated).
There is an entrance located in the courtyard opposite Verena Holmes, which provides step-free access to the ground floor via a steep ramp and double automatic doors (touch pad activated).
There is an entrance located in the courtyard opposite Hepworth, which provides step-free access to the ground floor via a slight ramp and double automatic doors (push pad activated).
There is an entrance located in the alcove opposite Laud, which provides step-free level access to the ground floor via double automatic doors (push pad activated), followed by double manual doors which are permanently held open. - The entrances are not differentiated by name for this building, although the main entrance, as well as those located in the courtyard opposite Becket, the courtyard opposite Fleming and Fisher, the courtyard opposite Verena Holmes and the courtyard opposite Hepworth are signed as "Anselm".
The Christ Church Students' Union entrance is signed as "CCSU".
The Health Sim Space external entrance and the entrance located in the alcove opposite Laud are unsigned. - The main entrance is located at the front of the building and provides step-free level access to the ground floor (via a very slight ramp). There are two sets of double automatic doors at this entrance.

Getting Around
- There is not step-free level access throughout the ground floor.
There is step-free level access throughout the lower ground floor and first floor. - On the ground floor, there are 3 steps, bypassed by a steep ramp (with no handrails) to access the reception seating area, food court, main lift and main stairs.
On the ground floor, there is a slight ramp with no handrails to access rooms Ag10-Ag14.
There are then 3 steps with a height of 13cm to access rooms Ag17-Ag18.
On the ground floor, there are 2 steps, bypassed by a steep ramp (with handrails on both sides) to access Anselm Studios and all areas to the left of the building.
To the right at the top of this level change, there is a single step, bypassed by a slight ramp with a handrail on the right going up, to access rooms Ag70-Ag75.
To the left at the top of this level change, there is a steep ramp with a handrail on the left going up, to access the toilet with adaptations, standard toilets and rooms Ag22-Ag40.
To the left of the corridor, there are 3 steps, 15cm high with no handrails, to access rooms Ag42-Ag46.
To the left of the corridor, there are 8 steps, 17cm high and with a handrail on the left going up, to access rooms Ag52-Ag57, standard male and female toilets and changing rooms, and the internal access to the Students' Union. These are bypassed by a stair lift. - Floor surfaces along circulation routes are comprised of a mixture of low pile carpet, vinyl and laminate, with the latter two having a shiny finish.
- There are resting areas in some circulation and lobby areas with a mixture of seating.
- Wall-mounted wayfinding and map signage is provided throughout the building.
- There are push pad activated automatic doors and manual doors which are permanently held open along circulation routes throughout the building.
