Getting Inside
- The approach to the building is step-free level.
- Laud has 14 entrances.
The Entrance (Main Block - Touchdown - From Anselm Courtyard) provides step-free level access to the ground floor of the main block, via a single automatic door.
There is an additional entrance to the main block from opposite the Office of the Vice Chancellor. This has step-free level access (via a very slight ramp), and double automatic doors.
There is a further entrance to the main block to the west of Touchdown, next to the exterior of Newton. Access to the building here is via a steep ramp and two sets of single automatic doors.
The Entrance (Lg41a, Lg44, Lg45, Lg67, Lg68 and Lg69) provides step-free level access to the corridor containing these rooms, via double automatic doors.
There is an additional entrance leading into this corridor directly from the main car park, which has a steep ramp and double automatic doors.
There is a further entrance leading into this corridor from the courtyard opposite Invicta, which has a slight ramp and single automatic door.
The Entrance (Main Block - Touchdown - From Olive Grove) provides step-free access to the ground floor of the main block from the Olive Grove courtyard, via a slight ramp and two sets of double automatic doors.
The Entrance (Lb01, Lb02, Lg26a, Lg26b & Lg27) provides step-free level access from the Olive Grove courtyard to those rooms, via double automatic doors.
There is an additional entrance to access rooms Lb02, Lg26 and Lg27 from opposite Fynden and Thorne. This has a very slight ramp and single automatic door.
The Entrance (Lg41, IT Staff Area and Access to Outdoor Covered Walkway - From Olive Grove) provides step-free access (via a slight ramp) to the above rooms/areas from the Olive Grove. There are double automatic doors at this entrance.
There is an additional entrance to Lg41 and the IT Staff Area from the courtyard opposite Invicta. This has step-free level access via double automatic doors (with one leaf locked).
The Entrance (Student Wellbeing Services - Lg40, Lg42 & Lg43; Seminar Room Lg39) gives step-free level access to these facilities only via a single manual door.
The Entrance (Professional Services Suite) gives step-free access to the Professional Services Suite via an automatic door, followed by a steep ramp and a permanently-held-open single manual door.
The Entrance (Laud Hotdesk Offices/Meeting Rooms - Lg28, Lg29, Lg30, Lg31, Lg32 and Lg35) gives ramped and stepped access to these facilities only, via a single manual door, steep ramp and 3 steps. - The Entrance (Main Block - Touchdown - From Anselm Courtyard) is signed as "Laud".
The additional entrance to the main block from opposite the Office of the Vice Chancellor is signed as "Laud".
The further entrance to the main block to the west of Touchdown, next to the exterior of Newton, is unsigned.

Getting Around
- There is step-free level access throughout the majority of the building, via lift.
- There is a slight ramp down to Lg14 IT Teaching Lab, Lg15, and Laud Lecture Theatre 1 - Lg16.
