  • There are two main entrances to Touchdown.
  • Immediately to the right as you enter Laud through the Main Block - Touchdown, from the Anselm Courtyard entrance.
  • And from the rear of Laud, from the direction of Erasmus.

Eating and Drinking

  • Service View
    • This area has a self service counter, staff who can provide assistance with ordering, a counter where food and drink can be ordered and numerous seating options.
    • Full table service is available on request only.
    • Menus are available on a board, displayed on the counter, wall-mounted, online and digital.
    • The following dietary requirements can be catered for: gluten free, lactose free, vegan, nut allergy, dairy free and vegetarian.
    • The following are available: takeaway cutlery and takeaway cups.
    • There is not a hearing assistance system.
  • Order and Payment View
    • The self-service counter was surveyed.
    • The counter is located diagonally to the right as you enter Laud through the Main Block - Touchdown - From Anselm Courtyard entrance.
    • There is step-free level access to the counter.
    • The height of the counter is 85cm.
    • The counter has glazed screens, patterned/distracting backgrounds and a television.
  • Seating Area View
    • There is step-free level access throughout the seating area.
    • There is some room for a wheelchair user to manoeuvre (150cm x 150cm).
    • There is space for an assistance dog to rest.
    • Some flooring is shiny.
    • The walls and floor visual contrast varies between low and high.
    • Seating available in this area includes: stools, chairs without armrests, sofas, benches, high stools and chairs with armrests.
    • Furniture available in this area includes: tables, high tables, picnic tables and coffee tables.
    • Some chairs and tables are fixed.
    • The surface height of some of the tables is suitable for wheelchair users.
    • The clear height under some of the tables is suitable for wheelchair users.
    • There is background noise in this area.
    • Lighting levels were even at the time of the survey, with unshaded light sources.
    • There is an outdoor seating area with picnic benches with fixed seating and standard benches. Some of the picnic benches and all of the standard benches are accessed over the grass, which has slight slopes in places.
      The picnic benches are 75cm high with a clear underside space of 71cm.
      The outdoor seating area is accessed via a slight ramp after exiting the building via the Main Block - Touchdown - From Anselm Courtyard entrance.
      There is a water bottle filling station at a height of 132cm, and a Heat & Eat counter at a height of 90cm, with a hot water dispenser and microwave oven.
