Access Guide
Introduction
- Services / facilities within the building include the Disability and Learning Support Service, Student Support and Development Department, Student Advice Centre, teaching rooms, lecture rooms and the accessible and standard toilet facilities.
- The Disability and Learning Support Service office is located in room CG28 on the ground floor of the Henry Grattan Building alongside other services within the Student Support and Development department.
- The aim of the Disability and Learning Support Service is to create an environment that promotes equality, independence and success for students with disabilities and diverse learning needs in DCU.
In line with best practice guidelines the service coordinates a range of supports for students who are registered with the service across all campuses, to ensure they have equity of access to their studies and also their social and accommodation requirements. - Henry Grattan Building link (new tab) - click here.

Getting Here (Glasnevin Campus)

By Road
View
- From the M50 take the R108 Ballymun Road exit (Junction 4). At the junction take the R108 Ballymun Road south. Continue 2km to the Collins Avenue/Ballymun Road crossroads.
For Dublin City University Glasnevin campus main entrance and car parks 1 and 2, turn left on to Collins Avenue. Dublin City University is located 700m to the right after the third set of traffic lights on Collins Avenue.
For Dublin City University Glasnevin campus residences and car parks 3 and 4, continue straight ahead on Ballymun Road for 500m to the traffic lights. DCU is located to the left.
From City Centre: - Follow the airport road towards the M1. Continue until you reach the junction at Whitehall. At this crossroads, turn left onto Collins Avenue. Continue along Collins Avenue until you pass St. Aidan’s CBS on your left-hand side. DCU is located just after the school. - There are two car parks off Collins Avenue: Car Park 1 multi-storey for staff, students, visitors and guests; and Car Park 2 surface car park for staff and student permit holders.
There are two car parks off Ballymun Road: Car Parks 3 and 4 for staff and student permit holders.
