Location

  • There is a bus stop within 150m (164yds) of the venue.

Parking

  • The venue does not have its own car park.
  • Venue Car Park View
    • Blue Badge holders may park free of charge and without time limit in any Dundee City Council car park or on-street parking bay including disabled parking bays outside the museum.
      The closest car park to V&A Dundee is situated on South Crighton Street to the rear of the museum. The car park is owned and operated by Dundee City Council (DCC) and not V&A Dundee.
      There are 17 parking spaces, 6 of which are designated as Blue Badge parking bays.
      As the bays are under the remit of Dundee City Council (DCC), V&A Dundee are unfortunately unable to guarantee that a space will be available at the time of your visit.
      Once you have parked in the South Crighton Street Car Park please make your way to the staff entrance of V&A Dundee (directly opposite the parking spaces) and let the security team know that you require assistance.
      The Duty Manager will be informed and will arrange for one of the Visitor Assistant Team to come and escort you through the staff entrance into the museum. There may on occasion, be a short delay in a member of staff being able to assist you, however there are seats available in the waiting area for you to use whilst you wait.
      V&A Dundee have a limited number of wheelchairs available to borrow for the duration of your visit, if you wish to reserve one please email: [email protected] or phone 01382 611411
      If you have reserved a wheelchair, please inform the security officer at the staff entrance when you arrive and they will arrange for it to be brought down to you.
      At the end of your visit to the museum, please ask any of the Visitor Assistant Team to accompany you back to the staff entrance.
      Please note that the Visitor Assistants are unable to accompany visitors out of the museum.

  • On the second floor is the Thomson Learning Centre (photographs 1 to 18), which includes the Juniper Auditorium (photographs 1 to 8). This is a flexible lecture theatre. It has stackable chairs with and without armrests and tables that are 72cm high. The speaker's desk is 88cm high.
  • Next to the lecture theatre there is a Designers in Residence Studio (photographs 9 and 10) and the Weston (photographs 11 to 14) and Robertson Trust Teaching Studios (photographs 15 to 18). The same seating and tables are used. All teaching spaces have induction loops.
  • There is a first aid room located on the first floor opposite the lift and the quiet room (photographs 19 and 20).
  • There is a quiet room (photograph 21) with adjustable lighting located on the first floor, to the right as you exit the restaurant lift. It is 3m from the lift and located opposite the Changing Places toilet and the first aid room.
