Getting To The Hospital (Royal Preston Hospital)

  • By Road View
    • The Royal Preston Hospital is located on Sharoe Green Lane, on the northern side of Preston.
      Exit the M6 at junction 32 and join the M55.
      Turn off the motorway at the next junction and follow the A6 towards Preston.
      After 0.7 miles turn left onto Sharoe Green Lane and the entrance to the hospital will be seen on the right after approximately 250 metres.
    • There are multiple car parks available around the site.
      The main Blue Badge parking is located near the main entrance of the hospital.
  • By Bus View
    • The nearest bus stop is located 95 metres away on Sharoe Green Lane.
      Buses 19, 22 ,23, 43, 45, 88 and 125 stop here.
    • There is an onsite bus stop.
    • The main onsite bus stop is located to the left as you face the main entrance of the hospital and just on the other side of the entrance to the Children's Clinic.
      There is an additional onsite bus stop opposite the entrance to the Gordon Hesling Block.
    • The onsite bus stops are sheltered with bench seating.
      There is space for a wheelchair but only in front of the bench seating.
    • There is a level route from the onsite bus stops to the main hospital entrance which is approximately 80 metres away.
      The route includes one road crossing, tactile paving and three dropped kerbs.
  • By Train View
    • The nearest train station is Preston which is 3 miles away off Butler street.
      This station provides direct services to and from Wigan North Western, Warrington Bank Quay, Lancaster, Blackpool North and South, Crewe, Bolton, Chorley and mainline stations in Manchester.

Getting Help and Assistance (Royal Preston Hospital)
