Getting To (Pathology)

  • The most accessible route from the Blue Badge parking bays has a very easy slope, uneven surfaces and a dropped kerb.

  • Proceed straight ahead through the atrium to the Blue Wing Lifts.
  • Take a lift to Level 3.
  • Exit the lift and turn left.
  • Continue straight ahead through the doors and along the corridor.
  • Turn left at the end of the corridor and proceed ahead.
  • Turn right at the end of this corridor, entering the Orange Wing and Pathology is located directly ahead of you.
  • Internally the most accessible route has step-free level access, a lift and doors permanently held open.
  • Some flooring along the route is shiny.
  • There are resting areas along the route.
  • Wayfinding signage is provided.
  • Signage is clearly visible with high contrasting colours.
  • The following toilet facilities are available along the route; a toilet with adaptations (with left hand transfer) and standard toilets.

Entrance (Main Entrance)

  • This entrance is located to the side of the hospital, diagonally to the left as you face the Blue Badge bays.
  • The approach to the entrance has uneven surfaces.
  • The entrance area is clearly signed.
  • There is a canopy or recess which provides weather protection at the entrance.
  • There is step-free access via ramp at the entrance.
  • The ramp has a slight gradient.
  • The ramp is over 150cm wide with a handrail on the left going up.
  • There are double automatic doors at this entrance.
  • The doors open by sliding.
  • The width of the opening is 126cm.
