Equipment and Resources to Borrow
- You can borrow or hire the following equipment: a manual wheelchair. It is highly recommended that these are booked in advance, where this is possible. Please check the National Trust website for details.
- Sensory packs can be borrowed which include: ear defenders, fidget toys, sunglasses, binoculars, magnifying glass, activity sheets, soft toy, communication cards, accessible maps and sensory maps.

- You can borrow or hire the following mobility vehicles: a tramper. It is highly recommended that these are booked in advance, where this is possible. Please check the National Trust website for details.

Route to (the Barefoot Trail)
- Turn left out of the welcome hut, go down the track through an open gate and pass to the left of the Piggery Tea Room.
After the stables, but before you reach the house, follow the track left down a slope.
Continue through the open gates straight ahead across the grass and the Cider House will be in front of you.
The Barefoot wooded area is to the left of the Cider House. - The route to the area is step-free via a slight ramp/slope.
- Path surfaces along the route are compact earth, gravel and muddy.
- The majority of the paths are wide enough for wheelchair users.
- There is no accessible shuttle to this area.
Outdoor Spaces
- This information is for the access point located to the left of Cider House.
- There is step-free level access into the area.
- There is open access at the surveyed access point.
- The following outdoor facilities are available: a playground and woodland.
- The outdoor spaces include the following surfaces: wood bark, grass and uncompacted earth.
- Footpaths are available in all of the outdoor space.
- The majority of the paths are not wide enough for wheelchair users.
- There is step-free level access around the area.
- There are not any bench seats situated along the paths for people to rest.
