Getting To (Café Causeway)

Parking (Main Patient and Visitor Car Park)

  • Car Park View
    • The car park is located in front of the main hospital building.

  • The width of the opening is 145cm.
  • The second set of doors have a low visual contrast.
  • There is a third set of entrance doors which are double, automatic and open away from you.
    The width of the third set of doors is 186cm and the colour contrast is low.
    There is a fourth set of entrance doors which are double, automatic and open by sliding.
    The width of the doors are 193cm and the colour contrast is low.
  • There is step-free level access as you enter.

Eating and Drinking (Café Causeway)

    • Café Causeway is located on the ground floor of the main hospital building.
    • The most accessible route has step-free level access.
    • This area has a counter where food and drink can be ordered, a self service counter, staff who can provide assistance with ordering and numerous seating options.
    • Full table service is available on request only.
    • Menus are wall-mounted.
    • The following dietary requirements can be catered for: gluten free, dairy free, lactose free, nut allergy, vegetarian and vegan.
    • The following are available: takeaway cups and takeaway cutlery.
    • There is not a hearing assistance system.
    • Please make staff aware of any food allergies when ordering.
  • Order and Payment View
    • The payment counter was surveyed.
    • The counter is located to the left as you enter the café area.
    • There is step-free level access to the counter.
    • The height of the counter is 90cm.
    • There is not a lowered section at the counter.
  • Seating Area View
    • There is step-free level access throughout the seating area.
    • There is some room for a wheelchair user to manoeuvre (150cm x 150cm).
    • There is space for an assistance dog to rest.
    • Some flooring is shiny.

    • Seating available in this area includes: chairs without armrests, armchairs and sofas.
