Getting To (Medical Investigation Unit)

  • The most accessible route from the Main Patient and Visitor Car Park has a slight ramp or slope, uneven surfaces, a dropped kerb with tactile paving and a pedestrian crossing.

  • The Medical Investigation Unit is located on the ground floor of the main hospital building, along the right wing corridor and on the left.
  • The Medical Investigation Unit is approximately 85m from the Main Hospital Entrance.
  • Enter via the main hospital building entrance and proceed straight ahead until you reach the main staircase.
    Turn right and proceed along the right wing corridor.
    The shared entrance for the Medical Investigation Unit and the Medical Records Department will be on the left.
    Go through this entrance and the Medical Investigations Unit entrance is to the left.
  • Internally the most accessible route has step-free level access, manual doors and doors permanently held open.
  • Some flooring along the route is shiny and patterned.
  • There are resting areas along the route.
  • Wayfinding signage is provided.

Parking (Main Patient and Visitor Car Park)

    • The Blue Badge bays are signposted and have markings which are faded.
