Getting To (Medical Ward 2)

  • The most accessible route from the Main Patient and Visitor Car Park has a slight ramp or slope, uneven surfaces, a dropped kerb with tactile paving and a pedestrian crossing.

  • Medical Ward 2 is located on the first floor of the main hospital building, along the right wing corridor.
  • Medical Ward 2 is approximately 60m from the main lifts - 3 and 4.
  • Enter via the main hospital building entrance and proceed straight ahead until you read the main staircase.
    Turn right to enter the right wing corridor.
    The main lifts will be on your left.
    Take a lift to the first floor and exit to the left.
    Continue along the right wing corridor and the ward will be on your right, through the entrance for Medical Ward 2 and Medical Assessment Unit.
  • Internally the most accessible route has step-free level access, a lift and doors permanently held open.
  • Some flooring along the route is shiny and patterned.

Parking (Main Patient and Visitor Car Park)

    • The car park is located in front of the main hospital building.
    • The car park is open air/surface.
    • The car park surface consists of tarmac.
    • There are 15+ designated Blue Badge parking bays available.
    • The Blue Badge bays are signposted and have markings which are faded.
