Tooting Broadway Station to Hoyle Road Crossing

  • Exit Tooting Broadway Station and turn left onto Tooting High Street.

Pedestrian Crossing to Hoyle Road

Effort Street Entrance to St George's Hospital Main Entrance

  • At the Effort Street Entrance, take the ramp to the left.
  • The ramp has a slight slope and is 200cm wide.

  • At the bottom of the ramp, use the zebra crossing to cross the hospital road.
  • The crossing has dropped kerbs and tactile paving.
  • The hospital road is one-way, with traffic approaching from the right.
  • After the crossing, head to the left along the pavement.
  • Continue until you reach a path on the right, which heads diagonally down a slight slope to the St George's Hospital main entrance.

  • The main hospital entrance is ahead and on the right.

Entrance (Grosvenor Wing)

  • This entrance is located at the front of the hospital, off Perimeter Road.
  • The entrance area is clearly signed.
  • There is not a canopy or recess which provides weather protection at the entrance.
  • There is step-free access via a very easy slope at the entrance.
  • There are double automatic doors at this entrance.
  • The doors open by sliding.
  • The width of the opening is 150cm.
  • There is a small lip on the threshold of the opening.
  • The doors have a low visual contrast.
  • There is a second set of double automatic doors .
  • The second set of doors open by sliding.
  • The width of the opening is 170cm.
  • The second set of doors have a low visual contrast.
