Parking (Front Accessible Parking)

Car Park
View
- The car park is located at the front of the hospital grounds.
- The car park is open air/surface.
- The car park surface consists of tarmac.
- There are 6 designated Blue Badge parking bays available.
- The Blue Badge bays are clearly marked and signposted.
- The surveyed Blue Badge parking bay dimensions are 248cm (width) x 710cm (depth).
- There is a marked zone to both sides but not at the rear.
- The width of the marked zone is 129cm.
- The nearest designated bay is 20m from the main entrance.
- The most accessible route from the Blue Badge parking has step-free level access and a pedestrian crossing.

- Payment machines are located at the side of the car park.
- There is a payment machine with controls at a suitable height for a wheelchair user.
- There is not a level manoeuvring space for a wheelchair user in front of the payment machine (185cm x 210cm).

- Parking is free for Blue Badge holders, but they must obtain a valid ticket from a ticket machine.

Drop-off Point

- The designated drop-off point is located on the right side of the Blue Badge bays.
Getting To (The Sacred Space)
- The Sacred Space is/are located on the right side of the Area 3 corridor.
- Access to the Sacred Space is via the main hospital entrance.
- Enter the hospital via the main entrance and proceed along the main corridor, through Area 1 and into Area 3.
At the end of the corridor, proceed along the corridor to the right and the entrance to the Sacred Space is located on the right. - There is step free access to the Sacred Space.
- The Sacred Space is approximately 35m from the main hospital entrance.
- There are resting areas along the route.
- Wayfinding signage is provided.
- Dementia friendly signage is not provided.
- There is flooring in corridors which is shiny and could cause issues with glare or look slippery to some people.
Entrance (Main Entrance)
- This entrance is located at the front of the main hospital building.
- The entrance area is clearly signed.
- There is a canopy or recess which provides weather protection at the entrance.
- There is step-free access via slope at the entrance.
- The slope has a slight gradient.
- The height of the hand sanitiser is 111cm.
- There are double automatic doors at this entrance.
- The doors open by sliding.
- The width of the opening is 162cm.
- There is a small lip on the threshold of the opening.
- The doors have a low visual contrast.
- There is a second set of double automatic doors.
- The second set of doors open by sliding.
- The width of the opening is 162cm.
- There is a small lip on the threshold of the opening.

- There is step-free level access as you enter.
- This entrance brings you onto the ground floor of Area 1.
