Access To
- Malet Place Engineering Building, Lecture Theatre 1.03 is located on the main level 1 corridor of the Malet Place Engineering Building.

- The most accessible route has a lift, a stair lift and steps.
- There are 6 steps with handrails on both sides.
- The handrails are easy to grip.
- The handrails cover the flight of stairs throughout its length.
- The handrails extend horizontally beyond the first and last step.
- The steps are clearly marked.
- The height of the steps is between 15cm and 18cm .
- The height of the highest step is 16cm.
- The depth of the steps is between 30cm and 45cm.
- There is written text signage on or near the entrance.
- There is step-free level access into Malet Place Engineering Building, Lecture Theatre 1.03.
- There is a single manual door which opens towards you.
- The door has a locked extension leaf.
- The locked extension leaf can be opened on request.
- The width of the opening is 85cm.
- The door has a high visual contrast.
Teaching
- This is a lecture theatre.
- There is step-free level access to the speaker’s area and front row only.
- The following areas have stepped access: The majority of the lecture theatre.
- There is room for a wheelchair user to manoeuvre (150cm x 150cm).
- There is a clearly signed portable hearing assistance system.
- The hearing assistance system could not be tested at the time of the survey.
- Floor coverings are even with no trip hazards.
- The walls and floor have a high visual contrast.
