Accommodation Overview

About

- The accommodation is located at UCL East, on One Pool Street.
- The accommodation is located within two separate towers on top of the One Pool Street building.
The towers are designated Tower 1 and Tower 2. - The towers are accessed from within the main One Pool Street building via lift to floor 3 and the external roof terrace.
Follow signage showing 'Access to Towers 1 and 2'. - There are a total of 552 bedrooms within the two towers.
- There are 16 rooms with adaptations within Tower 1, one on each floor.
There are 12 rooms with adaptations within Tower 2, one on each floor. - There is step-free level access to the rooms with adaptations via the lifts in each of the towers.
- All rooms with adaptations have an ensuite with a wheel-in shower.
- Standard accommodation has ensuites with stepped shower cubicles.
- There are four kitchen/dining areas with adaptations.
These are in Flats 5.2 and 10.2 in Tower 1, and Flats 5.3 and 10.3 in Tower 2.

Getting Inside
- The floor 3 roof terrace approach to One Pool Street accommodation towers is step-free and level.
- Tower 1 has a single accessible entrance which provides access to floor 3 of Tower 1.
Tower 2 has two entrances which provide access to floor 3 of Tower 2.
The Tower 1 and Tower 2 accessible entrances have push pad activated automatic doors. - The entrances are not named or signed.
- The accessible entrance for Tower 1 provides step-free level access to the Accommodation Office, a laundry, communal toilets, and lifts for Tower 1.
The accessible entrance for Tower 2 provides step-free level access to the student common room, a laundry, communal toilets, and lifts for Tower 2. - Tower 2 also has alternative step-free level access with a single manual door.
Getting Around
- There is step-free level access throughout the building on all floors.
- Floor surfaces along all circulation routes are hard and smooth, with some having a shiny finish.
- Wall mounted wayfinding signage is provided throughout the building.
- There are manual doors in circulation routes including access to services on floor 3, lift lobbies and stairs, and into bedrooms and kitchens.
