- Rockefeller Building is a large building with 6 floors.
- There are 2 main lifts and 2 main staircases within the building.

- The building connects with the UCL Medical School on two floors. There is stepped access to the Medical School on the ground floor and step free level access to the Medical School on the third floor.

Getting Inside
- The approach to the building is step-free level.
- The step-free approach to the building is via the Accessible / Grant Museum of Zoology entrance on University Street.
- The Rockefeller Building has two external entrances. One entrance provides step-free level access to the ground floor via a ramp and double automatic doors. One entrance provides stepped access via double manual doors. There are three entrances to the UCL Medical School. The ground floor entrance is via steps and two sets of double manual doors. The third and fifth floor entrances provide step free access via single manual doors.
- The Accessible / Grant Museum of Zoology entrance is signed as Grant Museum of Zoology.
- The Accessible / Grant Museum of Zoology entrance provides step-free level access to the reception foyer on the ground floor via a ramp.
- The Main Entrance is located on University Street and has stepped access.
Getting Around (Ground Floor)
- There is step-free level access throughout the majority of the ground floor.
- There are two well marked steps with no handrails to access the Anatomy Laboratory off the main corridor.
- Access to the Medical School building is via 7 unmarked steps with a handrail on the right going down and 7 well marked steps with a handrail on the left going up.
- Floor surfaces along all circulation routes are hard and smooth, with some having a shiny finish.
- Wall mounted wayfinding signage is provided throughout the building.
- There are manual doors in some corridors.
Getting Around (Level -1)
- There is step-free level access throughout the majority of level -1.
- There are 7 well marked steps with no handrails to access 2- Photon Imaging Room. There is one clearly marked step at the threshold to B16. There is a slight ramp with no handrails for access to B17 .
- Floor surfaces along all circulation routes are hard and smooth, with some having a shiny finish.
- Wall mounted wayfinding signage is provided throughout level -1.
- There are manual doors in some corridors.
Getting Around (Upper Floors)
- On floor 3 there are 3 clearly marked steps with a handrail on the right going up for access to 332 - 338 from the main lift. There are 4 clearly marked steps with handrails on both sides for access to 337 David Sacks Lecture Suite. There is a platform lift which overcomes the steps. There are 3 clearly marked steps with no handrails in the corridor between Seminar Room 335 and Seminar Room 336 .
- On floor 3 there is a steep ramp with no handrails for access to 305 to 312, Eastman Dental Institute.
- Floor surfaces along circulation routes are hard and smooth, with some having a shiny finish.
- Wall mounted wayfinding signage is provided throughout these floors.
- There are manual doors along circulation routes throughout the floor.

- The lift has a level manoeuvring space in front of it for a wheelchair user (150cm x 150cm).
