Access To
- The Dr Constance Tipper Lecture Theatre is located on the ground floor of the Baker Building, ahead and past the reception desk as you enter the main entrance.

- The most accessible route has step-free level access, uneven surfaces and shiny flooring.
- There is written text signage on or near the entrance.
- There is step-free level access into the lecture theatre.
- There are double manual doors which open towards you.
- One of the doors was locked at the time of the survey.
- The width of the opening is 78cm.
- The doors have a high visual contrast.
- There is a 2nd door into the lecture theatre that leads directly from the outside into the rear left side of the lecture theatre. The door is double width and manual, with one door locked. The minimum width of this door is 75cm. It has low colour contrast with the walls and floors.
Teaching
- This is a lecture theatre.
- There is step-free level access to the back row only.
- The following areas have stepped access: all seating beyond the back row and the speaker's area.
- There is room for a wheelchair user to manoeuvre (150cm x 150cm).
- There is not a hearing assistance system.
- The flooring is shiny.
- Floor coverings are not even and could potentially cause a trip hazard.
- The walls and floor visual contrast varies between low and high.
- Lighting levels vary due to the size of the space.
