View
- Faculty of Architecture and History of Art (1-5 Scroope Terrace) is a large building consisting of 5 terrace houses combined into 1 with 5 floors.
- There is 1 main lift and 3 main staircases.
There is also a set of stairs between the ground and basement floors only.
There is also a set of stairs between the basement, ground floor gallery and the ground floor upper area which includes Lecture Theatre 1. - The floors are signed as basement, ground, 1, 2 and 3.

Parking and Public Transport

- The venue has its own car park.
- There is on-street Blue Badge Bay parking and on-street standard parking.

Getting Inside
- There is a mostly level approach to the building.
- There is step-free via ramp access into the building via either the accessible entrance off Trumpington Street or the Car Park entrance.
There is also an alternative stepped entrance off Trumpington Street. - The stepped entrance off Trumpington Street is signed as Faculty of Architecture and History of Art.
The accessible and Car Park Entrances are not signed. - The accessible entrance provides step-free access into the ground floor near to the main lift.
The car park entrance provides step-free access into the basement floor near to the main lift. - The Trumpington Street entrance has stepped access.
Getting Around
- There is step-free access throughout the majority of the basement, ground, first and second floors.
- There is a very long slight slope with no stopping points to reach the studio on the ground floor. The ramp is part of the step-free route through the studio for step-free access into Lecture Theatre 1.
There are 3 deep steps leading to the gallery on the ground floor.
There is a single step to access the photography studio on the basement floor.
There is a single step to access the kitchen on the basement floor.
There is a steep ramp along the first floor which is used to access rooms 3.1 - 3.6 which includes both the boardroom and seminar room 1.
There is a steep ramp along the second floor corridor to your left on exiting the lift which provides access to rooms 4.8 - 4.11. There is a further steep ramp to access rooms 4.1 - 4.5 and room 4.7. - On the staircases between the basement and the ground floor are located rooms 2.3, 2.7 and the staff standard shared toilet
On the staircases between the ground and the first floors are located the Faculty of Architecture Head of Department and Faculty of Architecture Head of Department Secretaries Office, room 1.7 and shared toilets
On the staircases between floors 1 and 2 are located room 4.6 and shared toilet cubicles. - The surfaces around the building in circulation routes are predominantly carpeted.
- There are limited resting areas in some circulation and lobby with a mixture of seating.
- There is limited wayfinding signage within the building.
- There are manual doors located along the circulation routes of the building.
Corridors within the building often have widths of less then 120cm.
