Access Guide
Access To (Tea Room)
- The Tea Room is located to the right of the building on floor 1, to the left and then down the ramp on the right as you exit the lift (right of building) on this floor.
- View information on Department of Material Science and Metallurgy (opens new tab) .
- The most accessible route has a lift, a slight ramp or slope, automatic doors and shiny flooring.
- The ramp has a slight gradient.
- The ramp is between 75cm and 150cm wide with handrails on both sides.
- There is no signage on or near the entrance.
- There is step-free level access to enter the Tea Room.
- There are no doors to enter the Tea Room.
Alternatively, the Tea Room is located immediately to the left at the top of the Stairs (Reception foyer - access to Tea Room).

- Wednesday 09:00 - 16:00.
- Thursday 09:00 - 16:00.
- Friday 09:00 - 16:00.
- Saturday Closed.

- The Tea Room is located immediately ahead as you descend the ramp on floor 1, with the counter being to the left and left again.
- This area has a counter where food and drink can be ordered, a self service counter, staff who can provide assistance with ordering and numerous seating options.
- Full table service is available on request only.
- Menus are wall-mounted and displayed on the counter.
- The following dietary requirements can be catered for: gluten free, dairy free, lactose free, nut allergy, vegetarian and vegan.
- The following are available: takeaway cups.
- There is not a hearing assistance system.
