- The Spinnaker Building - East Side is a medium sized building with 3 floors.
- There is 1 main lift and 1 staircase within the building.
- The floors are signed as G, 1 and 2.
- The Spinnaker building is one large building separated into 2 parts, the East Side which is mainly for teaching rooms and the Sports Side or South Side which consists of the sports hall and gym on the ground floor and two studios on the first floor. There is no access internally between the two sides of the building.

Getting Inside
- The approach to the building is step-free via slight slopes from all directions.
- The approach is step-free via steep and/or slight slopes from the car park.
The steep slope on the route from the Blue Badge bay is over 150cm wide.
Alternatively there is a slight slope that can be used to bypass this but the pathway is 78cm at its narrowest point.
The approach from Cambridge Road also includes slight slopes. - There is one entrance into the building which gives access to the ground floor.
The entrance has double automatic doors and is key card operated.
There is a push pad to exit the doors on the way out. - The entrance is signed as 'Spinnaker Building', however signage on the approach refers to this entrance as the 'East Entrance'.
- The East Entrance provides sloped and stepped access to the entrance foyer on the ground floor.
Getting Around
- There is step-free level access throughout the building on all floors.
- Floor surfaces along all circulation routes are hard, carpeted and have a good colour contrast with the walls.
- There are resting areas located in some of the circulation areas with a mixture of seating available.
- There is wall mounted wayfinding signage available in the majority of circulation corridors and lift lobby areas which may be difficult to read.
- There are manual doors in the main circulation routes on the first and second floors and to access the stairwells.
